Boy's Pre-Team

Coaches: Coach Kyle, Coach Ethan
Levels: 3 and 4
Practice: 4 hours a week

Most boys try a million different sports before they ever find one they really like. For those who catch the gymnastics bug, the Boy's Pre-Team is their first taste of what the sport of gymnastics is really like.

Tryouts for Boys Pre-Team are open to students ages 7 and up who have attended at least one year of Boy's Fast Track or Boy's All Stars. Fast Track boys learn the basic movement patterns for men's equipment for the first time and begin physical conditioning to develop their strength and flexibility. Pre-Team picks up from here, introducing and strengthening competitive-level skills, and compulsory routines from the U.S.A.G. scoring system. Pre-Team boys will be invited to G.I.J.O. competitions for the first time and compete with each other in "mini-meets" to make them familiar with their own strengths and weaknesses.
